Maintenance Mechanic

Summary

To help maintain/enhance the value of the property throughout the repair and maintenance of Center structures, furnishings, systems and equipment at the least cost in order to contribute to the maximization of the Center's profitability.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers when and where needed.
• Perform interior maintenance functions including repairs of fixtures, floors, floor tile, paint and prep, concrete cut and sidewall repairs, ceilings and walls, and replacement of lighting devices.
• Perform exterior maintenance functions including repairs of fixtures, roofs, parking lots, and replacement of lighting devices.
• Conduct preventative maintenance checks on all equipment to keep it in optimal condition.
• Make minor electrical and plumbing repairs on the property.
• Perform preventative maintenance checks on HVAC systems, fire protection sprinkler systems, and fire extinguishers.
• Work safely from ladders, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
• Report potential problems with equipment or systems to supervisor.
• Use corded power tools such as circular saws, table saws, reciprocating saws (Sawzall), and drills for building maintenance and repairs.
• Act as liaison with contractors for maintenance and repair projects.
• Safely lift and move equipment and materials up to 40 pounds.

Supervisory Experience

None

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience

Hands‑on familiarity with methods and means of various building maintenance and repairs.
