Maintenance Mechanic

About the Role

Responsible for maintenance and improvement of equipment and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an organized, clean work area.
  • Maintenance of equipment and building.
  • Maintenance of lawn, trees, and other landscaping features including streambed.
  • Pest and rodent control.
  • Building improvements.
  • Maintain proper storage protection for items stored in building storage.
  • Know all applicable Sanitation and Safety SOPs.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, know company policies, and be willing to follow them.
  • Maintain excellent communication and relationships with other employees to foster team effort.
  • Seek out new ways to improve productivity.
  • Forklift certified.
  • Additional duties may be assigned and/or required.

Requirements

  • Must have a strong mechanical background.
  • Familiar with electrical up to 480 volts AC to low voltage.
  • Able to work with limited supervision and have a willingness to learn new equipment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Ability to adhere to scheduled work hours.
  • Maintain proper hygiene.
  • Able to understand and follow verbal and written directions in English.
  • Competent in My Manager Plus.
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Must be able to squat and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Twisting and reaching are required.
  • Pushing and pulling heavy loads.
  • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 55 pounds regularly.
