Maintenance Mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking an E-Bike Mechanic who will perform preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on electric cargo bikes. The role involves monitoring equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness, analyzing equipment failures, troubleshooting, diagnosing problems, logging modifications and maintenance details, and adhering to safety procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides on-site support and technical assistance with various electro-mechanical products, equipment, and systems.
• Troubleshoots malfunctions by reworking, repairing, or modifying non-conforming parts and assemblies within equipment.
• Installs new equipment or upgrades and provides routine maintenance to ensure function and uptime.
• Performs trial runs of machinery to test quality and performance rates and trains users on operation and maintenance.
• Develops detailed service reports to document service visits, issues, and troubleshooting actions and logs and tracks maintenance activities.
• Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Lubricates and cleans parts.
• Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
• Supports others in the installation and service of machinery and equipment.
• Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders, and constructs templates and lays out reference points.
• Completes and maintains work orders and downtime reports.
• Examines tools and equipment to detect needed replacements, unsafe conditions, or violations of safety rules.
• Repairs electrical equipment.
• Reads work orders and specifications to determine machine and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.

Education and Experience

Minimal Electrical vehicle/Bike experience. Associates degree - minimum.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• General Computer Skills

• Ability to lift 50 pounds
