About the role
Our Maintenance Mechanics repair rotary kilns, grinding mills, large elevators, pumps, crushers, industrial conveyor belts, and other heavy industrial equipment to support the plants and underground mine. Responsibilities include:
- Assessing equipment failure, determining causes, and making necessary repairs.
- Safely and efficiently performing preventative maintenance and equipment repairs, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, and other equipment.
- Identifying equipment operational problems and causes of breakdowns and making repairs.
- Performing and documenting workplace and mobile equipment inspections.
- Training and utilizing a computer and related software for creating work requests, entering time to work orders, looking up spare parts, and inventory.
- Applying general knowledge of plant safety rules with emphasis on lockout procedures, risk awareness, moving conveyors, confined space procedures, and use of PPE.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must successfully demonstrate maintenance and practical skills as determined by written and hands-on testing, including welding and rigging.
- Two years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Technical degree, certification, or equivalent.
Pay
$35.62/hour
