Maintenance Mechanic

About the role

Located in Somerset County, Matheny Medical and Educational Center seeks a Full Time Maintenance Mechanic to support mechanical systems and facility upkeep across all Matheny locations.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mechanical systems, including electrical, plumbing, and heating.
• Maintain a neat and orderly appearance of all grounds and buildings.
• Set up tables, chairs, and other items for various functions as needed.
• Pick up supplies, parts, and building materials and deliver items to various locations as needed.
• Assemble and install equipment as necessary.
• Complete preventative maintenance checks according to schedule and document/report as required by regulations.
• Provide on-call service on a scheduled basis.
• Complete maintenance work orders.
• Maintain working knowledge of all emergency systems and procedures, including fire alarm procedures.
• Execute work orders that support all Matheny locations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• New Jersey Driver’s license required.
• New Jersey Low-Pressure Boiler Operator's License (Black Seal) preferred.
• Certified Pool & Operator (CPO) preferred.
• ASHE Certified Health Care Physical Environment Worker (CHCPEW) preferred.
• CFC/Universal Certificate, Type II, 40-CFR, Part 82, Subpart F preferred.

Pay

Hourly wage: $20.51 – $30.76 per hour.

Schedule

Five days per week, Monday‑Friday with alternate weekends required.
