MAINTENANCE MECHANIC
About the role
This position is responsible for completing all tasks associated with maintaining the facility, buildings, grounds, and infrastructure equipment, of Grace Medical Center, including its off-campus buildings. Under limited supervision, installs, repairs, and maintains all physical elements of the institution to ensure a safe environment for all patients, visitors, and staff. In general, tasks that will be completed include: Corrective Work Order completion, Preventative Maintenance completion, problem identification and resolution, determination of material and supplies required for problem resolution, documentation of activities, utilization of the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and communicating with the Hospital’s and Facilities department’s management.
Responsibilities
- Completes maintenance requests and performs appropriate repairs
- Installs, tests, inspects, diagnoses, operates, maintains, repairs and replaces equipment and components of new and existing mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.
- Completes carpentry, plumbing and electrical repairs as needed.
- Performs preventive maintenance
Requirements
- Education: HS Diploma/GED preferred
- Experience: Minimum five years experience with mechanical, electrical and other infrastructure systems. Experience working in a hospital or industrial/manufacturing environment. Documented training and/or experience in and working knowledge of 120v/208v/277v electrical. Documented training and/or experience in and working knowledge of pump repair and motor alignment. Documented training and working knowledge of HVAC, compressor/vacuum pump repair.
- Certification: Journeyman certification preferred, Full MD Driver's license and good driving record
Pay
Rate between $24 to $32, dependent on experience and internal equity.
Schedule
Full-time - Day/Evening Shift - 10:00am-6:30pm
