About the role
The position involves working as a Mechanic Level 3, performing various tasks such as timely repairs, parts and machine assembly, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment problems. This role operates on two shifts: one from 9 PM to 7 AM and another from 12 PM to 10 PM, with up to 6 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Timely repairs
- Parts and machine assembly
- Maintenance of machinery to reduce and eliminate downtime
- Aid in keeping equipment operational
- Preventative maintenance and inspection tasks
- Complete facility work orders
- Install, repair, and maintain machinery equipment, physical structures, pipes, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems
- Troubleshoot equipment problems
- Assist with preventive and predictive maintenance
- Perform construction and renovation work when necessary
- Complete daily work logs and maintenance forms
- Maintain clean work areas and ensure equipment functions correctly after repairs
- Bend, twist, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Climb stairs and ladders
- Work in confined spaces
- Wear required PPE
- Operate and perform basic forklift maintenance
- Work in uncontrolled temperatures
- Work around ovens, furnaces, torches, and grinders
- Wear non-slip footwear
Requirements
- Adhere to lock-out/tag-out procedures
- Strong safety record
- Good attendance
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and flexible schedules
- Read, write, and count correctly
- Basic math, English, and computer skills
- Follow written and verbal instructions
- Good communication skills
- Detail oriented and organized
- Change priorities quickly and follow up on tasks
- Bend, twist, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Climb stairs and ladders
- Work in confined spaces
- Wear required PPE
- Own basic mechanic tools
- Carry LOTO locks and radio
- Understand pneumatic systems and components
- Repair conveyor belting, gearboxes, chains, and sprockets
- Perform basic forklift maintenance
- Work in uncontrolled temperatures
- Work around ovens, furnaces, torches, and grinders
- Wear non-slip footwear
Preferred Qualifications
- Blueprint reading
- Arc welding
- MIG welding
- Pipe cutting and threading
- Hydraulics knowledge
- Minor electrical knowledge
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 24 Months of Experience
