About the role
This off-shift maintenance role focuses on ensuring the safe and reliable operation of production equipment and facility systems during overnight operations. The Maintenance Technician will work independently and with limited supervision to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment in a plastics production environment. This position supports blow molding equipment and related systems, requiring strong electromechanical skills and sound decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment
- Support overnight production by responding quickly to equipment downtime
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance during scheduled downtime windows
- Test and verify equipment repairs to ensure safe and proper operation
- Perform fabrication work, including welding and machining as required
- Assist with equipment installations and process improvements
- Maintain facility systems and building infrastructure
- Document maintenance activities and completed work orders
- Follow all safety, GMP, and quality standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and prioritize work with minimal supervision
- Strong electromechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems
- PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus
- Blow molding or injection molding experience preferred
- Fabrication skills (welding/machining) a plus
