Maintenance Mechanic

Position Responsibilities

  • Observes equipment to ensure it operates to OEM standards or production satisfaction.
  • Analyze mechanical, pneumatic, electrical problems and perform repairs through adjustments, replacement of defective parts, or fabrication.
  • Answer maintenance calls promptly and assist in troubleshooting.
  • Perform routine Preventive Maintenance (PM), repairs, rebuilds, and modifications on assigned equipment.
  • Wire moderately complex control circuits.
  • Replace, substitute, set up, and calibrate electronic components.
  • Fabricate, repair, and install hangers and various types of piping, including hot/cold water, steam, process, and condensate, using formulas for all phases.
  • Weld various types of metals.
  • Machine most metals, plastics, and composites.
  • Replicate minor pieces for the repair or replacement of parts on equipment.
  • Complete size changeovers, make adjustments, and troubleshoot liquid fillers and packaging equipment.
  • Identify and complete repairs with minimal downtime or supervision.
  • Troubleshoot 3ph 480V motors and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
  • Complete necessary paperwork associated with repairs or calibration.
  • Complete assigned Work Orders.
  • Provide coverage and assistance as needed throughout the facility to meet production schedules and equipment needs.
  • Ensure all work activities adhere to the highest standards for quality, safety, and compliance with all relevant legal and food safety requirements, focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, as well as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness to achieve an accident-free workplace.
  • Report any unsafe or hazardous work conditions or safety-related issues to management.

Total Rewards

  • Starting rate of pay: $31.63/hr
  • Shift premium: $0.30
  • Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including vacation and sick time), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage Reimbursement

Requirements

  • 1 year maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 1 year of experience troubleshooting 3 phase (480V) circuits, motor starters, and controls, and electronic circuit boards
  • Lift, push, and pull 50 pounds repeatedly, walk, and stand for long periods
