  • Conduct routine inspections of engine room equipment, fan rooms, cooling towers, motors, pumps, electrical rooms, backup generators, and fire pumps
  • Perform general building repairs including doors, ceilings, handrails, floors, plumbing fixtures, and lighting systems
  • Monitor energy management systems and building automation controls, documenting all maintenance activities and reporting findings to supervisors

Requirements

  • High school diploma or state equivalent
  • 1-3 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, with general plumbing experience
  • Valid Driver's License (must maintain throughout employment)
  • Two years of related trade schooling or equivalent

Position requires sitting, standing, walking on level and slippery surfaces, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, grasping, and making repetitive hand movements. Ability to be in an on-call rotation and willing to support after-hours building-related activities as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong diagnostic skills to identify defects and efficiently install, repair, and maintain building equipment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Self-starter with strong customer service orientation and timely follow-through
