Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance Tasks

• Maintain industrial automation machinery and robotics
• Conduct equipment inspections for proper operation and mechanical integrity
• Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up
• Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
• Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances

Technical Skills

• Possess ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
• Have a working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout
• Troubleshoot components and diagnose system failures
• Basic knowledge of electrical components and concepts
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatics

Other Duties

• Other mechanical duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must have three plus years of industrial machinery maintenance experience
• Broad Technical training (high school plus 1 to 2 years of apprenticeship/applied trades training)
• Training requires a basic knowledge in the use of shop mathematics
• Minimum of 2 years mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment required
• Multi-craft experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may be acceptable
• Organizational experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) preferred
