About the role
This position is responsible for performing mechanical repair and improvement to existing or new equipment, facilities, and systems.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to plant safety requirements and plant policies.
- Adhere to all current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) requirements.
- Perform maintenance and construction tasks as assigned.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems.
- Perform housekeeping tasks.
- Monitor operation of plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Report and investigate accidents and incidents to supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Skills
- Good verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical issues.
- Ability to select and use mechanical tools.
- Planning, scheduling, and prioritizing skills.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.

Requirements
- High School Diploma, General Educational Development (GED), or equivalent.
- 2 years of general maintenance experience required.
- Technical training in electrical, mechanical, and related fields preferred.
Safety/Essential Functions
- Capable of lifting containers weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Able to evacuate the plant and report to assigned muster point during emergencies or drills.
- Capable of working in adverse weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
- Able to use equipment within its design limits (e.g., weight limits on ladders).
- Able to work from heights (including elevated platforms, scaffolds, lifts, and ladders).
- Able to work in environments with chemical odors at permissible exposure limits.
- Able to climb and descend stairs and ladders.
- Able to safely handle hazardous chemicals on a regular basis.
- Able to wear a respirator or air hood.
- Able to use all assigned personal protective equipment and tools.
- Able to use fall protection equipment (rated at 310 pounds).
