About the role
This position will work within a team of other mechanical staff and is based in the Dixon, IL facility. The role requires working Monday through Friday from 7am to 3:30pm, with occasional on-call work during off-hours and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
- Maintain production equipment to optimize proper operation through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing of machinery
- Accurately complete administrative documents to maintain maintenance logs
- Truly understand and troubleshoot industrial, electrical AC/DC motors and drives
- Have a full understanding of hydraulics, pneumatic/mechanical failures, and strong ability to correct failures
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least five years of maintenance and/or electrical experience in an industrial environment
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Capable of working nights and weekends, including overtime if needed
- Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing on any outstanding issues or concerns
- Preferably possess a technical degree and maintenance experience in the plastics industry
- Technical degree and maintenance experience in plastics industry a plus
