Maintenance Mechanic
About the role
We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to support a highly automated manufacturing operation in Mason. This role is critical to maintaining equipment reliability, reducing unplanned downtime, and supporting upcoming equipment and product changeovers.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair automated manufacturing equipment, with a strong focus on industrial electrical systems
- Perform both electrical and mechanical maintenance, including physically demanding repairs
- Restore equipment safely and efficiently during breakdowns, prioritizing safety and production impact
- Learn new and existing equipment quickly, especially during upcoming product and equipment transitions
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce repeat failures and improve reliability
- Work independently and responsibly across shifts, managing priorities without constant supervision
- Communicate effectively with production and other maintenance team members
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and electrical safety practices
- Treat equipment, downtime, and materials as if they were your own
Requirements
- Strong experience with industrial electrical systems (motors, controls, sensors, automated equipment)
- Hands-on mechanical troubleshooting experience
- Willingness and ability to perform both electrical and mechanical work
- Proven ability to learn equipment through on-the-job training
- Self-starter mindset with strong accountability and pride in workmanship
- Commitment to working safely at all times
Qualifications
- Technical degree or formal electrical training (not required, experience considered)

Pay
The pay range for this position is $20 - $25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The current shifts available are 8a-4p and 4p-12a, with a shift rotation changing to a 12-hour rotating schedule on a 2-2-3 schedule requiring every other weekend work within 6 months.
