Maintenance Mechanic

Entry-level position performing routine building repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance, while ensuring facility safety and cleanliness. Also involves servicing and troubleshooting facility equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, golf cars, pickup trucks, vans, and delivery vehicles. Ideal for motivated individuals with strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn, focusing on preventive maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Assist in repairing machinery, equipment, and structural components (painting, flooring, lighting).
• Apply basic construction knowledge for wood structure repair methods.
• Diagnose basic mechanical issues and assist with repairs under supervision.
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace, following all safety regulations and procedures.
• Record maintenance activities and service requests.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• One year of maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license for driving company vehicles.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of general carpentry and repairs.
• Experience with forklift trucks and order pickers preferred but will train.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
• Detail-oriented, self-starter with a positive attitude and customer service focus.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
