Maintenance Mechanic- 3rd Shift
About the role
This is a 3rd shift position 11pm-7am Sunday-Thursday.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
- Inspect, operate, and test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Repair and replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools, power tools, and reassemble equipment.
- Move and assist in the transportation of furniture and equipment.
- Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and other health and safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years of experience in a related field.
- General knowledge of various types of mechanical equipment.
- General knowledge of electrical engineering, plumbing, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
- Able to successfully complete boiler operator training for a license.
- Able to operate a forklift.
- Able to read blueprints and diagrams.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and shifts.
- Willingness to be on call and respond to after-hour emergencies.

- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
- Attention to details to ensure quality of work.
