Maintenance Mechanic- 3rd Shift

About the role

This is a 3rd shift position 11pm-7am Sunday-Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Repair and replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools, power tools, and reassemble equipment.
• Move and assist in the transportation of furniture and equipment.
• Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and other health and safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years of experience in a related field.
• General knowledge of various types of mechanical equipment.
• General knowledge of electrical engineering, plumbing, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
• Able to successfully complete boiler operator training for a license.
• Able to operate a forklift.
• Able to read blueprints and diagrams.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and shifts.
• Willingness to be on call and respond to after-hour emergencies.
