Maintenance Mechanic - 3rd Shift

About the role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing planned and unplanned maintenance on production, packaging, processing equipment, and utility systems (heat, steam, cooling, electrical, power, gas, or air). This role includes safely operating power equipment and assisting the plant maintenance team with coordination of inspections and special events.
Responsibilities
- Perform planned and unplanned maintenance on production, packaging, and processing equipment
- Maintain utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, cooling, electrical, power, gas, or air
- Safely operate power equipment
- Assist with coordination of inspections and special events
- Legibly write entries for record keeping
- Work in a fast-paced, wet environment
- Occasionally handle cleaning chemicals
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum one year of experience
- Boiler experience preferred
- Ammonia refrigeration experience preferred
- NJ Boiler License preferred
- NJ Refrigeration License preferred
- Must pass pre-employment screenings including drug, background, and criminal checks
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach, and bend for the entire shift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist others with lifting
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Driver’s license required to operate a company-owned vehicle
Pay
$36.25 per hour
Schedule
10:00 PM – 6:30 AM; Off Friday and Saturday
