Maintenance Mechanic - 3rd Shift

About the role

The Maintenance Mechanic position at ClarkDietrich's Rochelle, IL location ensures that all machines and equipment in the facility are working properly and safely to operate. They perform preventative maintenance to minimize machine downtime.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all machines and equipment are working properly and safely to operate.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment.
• Build gearboxes.
• Communicate with suppliers about parts needed for equipment operation.
• Keep down time for each machine minimal and perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and tools.
• Order necessary parts for each machine if a purchase is necessary.

Requirements

• Own tools.
• Knowledge in electrical installation, troubleshooting, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to operate Lathe machine, End Mill Machine, Drill Press, Surface Grinders, Grinders, Sanders, Hand Tools, CNC Machines, Cutting Torch, Welding Machines, and Brake Presses.
• Able to work with people, strong work ethic, capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, strong communication skills, able to read and write, and focus.
• At least 5 years of experience in an environment with high-tech machines, prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• High school/GED or Trade school in machines, military equivalent recognized in lieu of education and/or experience.
• Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and converting fractions into decimals.
• Ability to use and read a tape measure, caliper, micrometer, dial bore gauge, and various other precision measurement equipment.
