Responsibilities

  • Maintain production machines, equipment, and facilities performance (Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Availability and Reliability)
  • Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs
  • Perform maintenance skills level 2 (Matrix Skill File) including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and adjust equipment
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance functions
  • Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report issues to maintenance supervisor
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
  • Adhere to training program and relevant training through the Operations Trainer
  • Perform preventive and proactive maintenance, regular inspections, and communicate with production operators and foremen about equipment performance and problems
  • Train and share knowledge with coworkers
  • Complete 100% daily work reporting in CMMS (Manager Plus)
  • Communicate and collaborate with colleagues on different shifts for smooth handovers
  • Adapt to varying shift lengths and workdays (8–12-hour shifts and weekends)
  • Perform other responsibilities as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor

Requirements

  • High school education or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of five years maintenance experience in pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and/or PLCs
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical maintenance, routine inspections, repairs, and upgrades on industrial equipment
  • Problem-solving, critical thinking, and ability to work with hand/power tools and software components
  • Technical knowledge of equipment/machine processes
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical theory for power and controls
  • Wide knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, machine control devices, VFD, PLCs, and electrical components
  • Ability to work overtime, off-shifts, and weekends
  • Experience with combustion processes, burners, valve trains, and temperature controllers
  • Welding and fabricating skills
  • Knowledge of refractory and furnace lining
  • Basic computer entry skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance
  • Process improvement techniques
  • Electrical (industrial 480 volts) and electronic controls (VFD, servomotors, proportional valves, electrical motor control, PLC); PLC troubleshooting level
  • Experience with mobile equipment including forklifts and wheel loaders
  • Material handling and conveyor systems
  • Ventilation systems with 50–250 HP motors and bag houses (dust collectors)
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Good service attitude and willingness to solve problems
  • Strengths in teamwork, organization, communication, and efficiency
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and maintain productivity

Working Conditions

  • Manufacturing environment in all weather conditions
  • Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 75 lbs. occasionally
  • Bend, twist, climb, squat, kneel throughout shift
  • Able to work in extreme heat or cold conditions
  • Fast-paced, changing work environment
  • Use hands for simple and power grasping, push/pull, and fine manipulation
  • Work at and/or below shoulder level
  • Work next to hot surfaces (using proper PPE for hot works)
  • Available to work weekends and holidays

Pay

$35.66 – $38.00 per hour. Base salary will be determined based on geographic location, skills, education, and experience, with consideration for internal pay equity.
