About the role
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic - 1st Shift.
Responsibilities
- Performs skilled maintenance and repair activities on building facilities and equipment with a high degree of independence.
- Executes assigned tasks, develops and follows detailed instructions, and supports the training and knowledge transfer of other technicians.
- Manages and prioritizes preventive maintenance activities related to site operations, including mechanical and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Troubleshoots equipment issues, oversees maintenance-related projects, and coordinates outsourced work as necessary.
- Performs basic electrical work and ensures the accurate completion and maintenance of work order documentation.
- Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctioning machines, equipment, and small tools/parts.
- Performs preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Makes necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Supports the maintenance of the in-house wastewater treatment system.
- Operates various industrial vehicles used in material/machine moving.
- Affords assistance in installation and relocation involving machines and equipment as needed.
- Performs simple electrical maintenance activities and suggests outsourcing for more complex problems.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
- Suggests and maintains standard work practices for maintenance department.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area, adheres to all facility environmental, health & safety guidelines, encourages communication and participates with co-workers to further identify, reduce and eliminate potential hazards.
- Performs other related tasks and assignments, as necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of five (5) years industrial/facilities maintenance experience and knowledge.
- Preferred qualifications include a 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience through an accredited apprenticeship program, military mechanical repair training experience or equivalent, firm knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic and electromechanical systems, and familiarity with computer maintenance management systems.
Pay
The hourly rate for this position is $25.50 - $29.00 per hour.
Schedule
The shift hours are 6am - 3:30pm.
