Maintenance Manager - WeldWerks Brewing Co.

About the role

The Maintenance Manager is a cornerstone of all production and retail operations, a technical expert, trainer, and role model for the entire team. They oversee the routine maintenance of brewery equipment, coordinate facility maintenance, and assist with capital projects. The role requires strong mechanical skills, safety knowledge, and the ability to lead and train others.

Responsibilities

• Appropriately prioritize all maintenance tasks and proactively communicate status and timelines
• Manage and execute all production equipment preventive maintenance in coordination with the Head Brewer and equipment operators
• Perform reactive troubleshooting/repairs and identify opportunities to prevent future failures
• Cook up and manage all necessary facility/building maintenance activities
• Follow all relevant safety programs and procedures
• Maintain accurate and up to date records of all maintenance activities
• Utilize CMMS tools for work planning and parts management
• Aid in planning and implementation of capital projects
• Develop documentation/SOPs for all relevant maintenance and repair activities
• Effectively train coworkers on any applicable maintenance procedures
• Analyze downtime reports and repair trends and adjust plans accordingly
• Available on call for maintenance advice/repairs

Job Specifications

• Skill and Knowledge:
  • Exceptional mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of safety procedures including LOTO, confined space entry, working at heights, electrical safety, chemical hazards, etc.
  • Experience with equipment commonly found in breweries (Pumps, Conveying systems, Plumbed utilities, Centrifuge, pasteurizer, brewhouse, packaging lines, keg cleaners, PLC/24v troubleshooting, Fabrication and welding experience)
  • Computerized Maintenance Management System experience

Compensation Details

This position qualifies to participate in the company tip pool. Tips are pooled and paid out on a monthly basis for all eligible positions. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.
