About the role
The Facilities Manager at The Scion Group is a critical role that oversees the maintenance and operation of the property's buildings and systems. This position requires a strong background in building systems, leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Manage all building services and preventative maintenance programs.
- Oversee day-to-day operations including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and building maintenance.
- Provide on-call support for after-hours emergencies.
- Maintain and operate life safety systems.
- Prioritize and schedule maintenance work.
- Manage the Facilities Technicians and ensure service requests are completed within Scion standards.
- Manage facilities budgets and review completed work for accuracy.
- Inspect vacant units post-repair and ensure readiness for occupancy.
- Manage maintenance spare parts and tools inventory.
- Coordinate with vendors and oversee contracted work.
- Ensure proper safety procedures and enforce health & safety policies.
- Implement standard operating procedures and preventive maintenance programs.
- Hire, train, and develop the Facilities team.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED, trade school diploma, or military training.
- 8 years of relevant experience managing building systems in multi-unit residential properties.
- 5 years of supervisory experience.
- 5 years’ experience with building automation systems and life safety systems.
- EPA 608 Universal certification.
- HVAC/EPA 608 Universal certification.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO), or intention to obtain within six months.
- Expertise in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license.

Pay
- Base salary range: $60,000—$65,000 USD
Schedule
- Job location is at the assigned property.
- May be required to travel periodically.
- Serves in an "on-call" capacity, except during approved PTO periods.
