Maintenance Manager (Hands-On / CNC & Hydraulics)

About the role

The opportunity is for a Maintenance Manager (Hands-On / CNC & Hydraulics) at a reputable, industry-leading manufacturer in North Central Iowa. This is not a desk job; we need a "working leader" who can lead from the front, troubleshoot complex machinery, and mentor a small, dedicated team of 2–3 maintenance technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Team: Manage, mentor, and schedule a small team of 2–3 maintenance technicians.
• Hands-on Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on complex CNC manufacturing equipment.
• Read Schematics: Interpret complex blueprints, electrical schematics, and hydraulic diagrams to isolate faults quickly.
• Drive Improvement: Implement Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to minimize plant downtime.

What We Are Looking For

• The "Working Leader" Mentality: Deeply comfortable dividing your time between team management and hands-on technical repairs on the shop floor.
• Technical Expertise: Proven experience with CNC equipment troubleshooting (mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics).
• Leadership History: Prior experience managing a small technical or maintenance team.
• Location: Ability to work full-time on-site at our manufacturing facility in North Central Iowa.
