Maintenance Manager – FT

About the role

Knoxville Hospital and Clinics seeks a Maintenance Manager to join our team. This position is full-time and based in Knoxville, with essential functions focused on maintaining the hospital's facilities and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Diagnoses and evaluates malfunctions of equipment.
• Maintains and repairs boilers, HVAC equipment, pumps, motors, test equipment, electronic and computer controls, and chemical feed equipment.
• Assists in the upkeep of the facilities' exterior and grounds, including snow removal and lawn maintenance.
• Supports major construction projects, including carpentry and electrical work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Tradesman certification or post-secondary training in building trades.
• At least 3 years of experience in building trades, including carpentry, electrical, and plumbing skills.
• Knowledge of tools, test equipment, and general maintenance responsibilities.
• Valid Iowa driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Proficiency in using facility vehicles and equipment.
• Ability to assist with major construction projects.
• Knowledge of electrical work, including running wire and hard/soft conduit.
