Maintenance Manager
Roles & Responsibilities
Ensure that repairs are carried out in a cost efficient and timely manner, maximizing production capabilities and meeting all health and safety requirements.
Maintain facility/production line conditions to meet established GMPs/HAACP, and Food Safety Regulations.
Establish and maintain departmental SOPs to meet this goal.
Achieve processes that meet or exceed government requirements.
Oversee the preventative maintenance program, driven from manufacturer’s specifications.
Works closely with Maintenance Planner on work order and repair schedules.
Achieve all maintenance technicians record their time and work complete for each major piece of equipment.
Create and maintain contracts for all equipment and machine repairs not performed in-house.
Participate as an active and contributing member of the Health and Safety Committee.
Provide floor level support to detect, evaluate, or resolve any malfunction or issue with production equipment as needed.
Manage and directs contractors as appropriate.
Proactively improve technical processes and standards as appropriate.
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the electrical systems and resources (internal and external) to support production and infrastructure equipment.
Operates as a supervisor and leader in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Lead Kaizen events on new or existing equipment or lines to improve performance and achieve plant deliverables.
Lead technical skill development of maintenance resources as it applies to support production and utility equipment.
Ensure skills keep pace with the addition of new lines, equipment, and technology.
Manage maintenance department spending.
Track department budget accounts for electricity, water, sewer, all R&M equipment, machinery supplies, outside services and maintenance labor.
Collaborate with all plant functional managers to ensure production needs and changes can be met in addition to identifying root cause and corrective action for areas of responsibility.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills, Experience and Education
Strong knowledge of electronics, controls, hydraulics, mechanical and electrical components found in food manufacturing machinery as well as proper safety standards for food production equipment.
Fundamental understanding of PLC processes.
Knowledge of PIMS (Parts Inventory Management System).
Familiarity with SAP a plus.
Demonstrated hands on experience with installation and technical repairs of manufacturing and packaging equipment.
Demonstrated problem solving, leadership, and analytical skills.
Experience in creating, executing, and monitoring manufacturing technical standards and procedures.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to lead individually, in small groups, or lead Kaizen events to identify root cause and corrective actions to improve equipment and line reliability.
Ability to identify, create, lead, and train others in Continuous Improvement processes and tools as it relates to Reliability and Maintenance.

Pay
$93k -$138k annually with additional bonus potential.
Schedule
Primarily Monday through Friday with flexibility to support all hours of operation.
