MAINTENANCE MANAGER

About The Role

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading all maintenance activities to ensure equipment, vehicles, and facilities operate safely and efficiently. This role oversees preventative maintenance programs, repair operations, and team performance while supporting overall operational goals. Success requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to planning and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of preventative maintenance programs, including scheduling and documentation for equipment and vehicles.
• Assigning work, providing direction, and ensuring team members follow proper procedures and company guidelines.
• Planning and coordinating maintenance activities to maximize efficiency of labor, equipment, and materials.
• Ensuring compliance with safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and Confined Space standards.
• Collaborating with team members to maintain inventory of parts and supplies necessary to support maintenance operations.
• Maintaining records of maintenance activities, ensuring accurate reporting and recordkeeping.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent training, or at least 5 years of maintenance management experience.
• At least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role within a heavy industrial environment (precast, concrete, aggregate, or mining).
• Deep understanding of heavy hydraulics, high-torque gearboxes, pneumatics, and high-wear material handling systems (conveyors, screws, hoppers).
• Competence in industrial electrical systems (480V, 3-phase), PLC troubleshooting, and automated sensor calibration.
• Proven track record of managing technical personnel, tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and driving a safety-first culture.
• Experience working with facility systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Experience planning and managing maintenance operations.

Skills

• Asset Management: Direct the upkeep of batch plants, overhead cranes, concrete mixers, casting beds, formwork, forklifts, and automated rebar fabrication equipment.
• Preventative Maintenance: Optimize the Fiix system to schedule required routine maintenance, wear inspections, and component replacements on all equipment.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and schedule a team of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic technicians across multiple shifts.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA, EPA, and local environmental and structural safety standards.
• Capital Improvement: Collaborate with plant managers and operations managers to design, install, and commission new production lines or facility expansions.
• Inventory Control: Manage a critical spare parts inventory to minimize downtime during emergency equipment failures.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
