About the role
The Scion Group is hiring immediately for a Maintenance Manager position. We are looking for candidates who are eligible to work in the United States and are not able to sponsor visas.
Responsibilities
- Manage all building services and preventative maintenance programs.
- Supervise day-to-day operations including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and general building maintenance.
- Maintain and troubleshoot building automation systems and building maintenance systems.
- Prioritize and schedule maintenance work.
- Ensure quality of work consistent with Scion's standards.
- Manage Facilities Technicians.
- Manage facilities budgets.
- Review completed work for accuracy.
- Respond promptly to safety/risk-management-related issues.
- Inspect vacant units after repairs.
- Manage maintenance spare parts and tools inventory.
- Coordinate deliveries and schedules for facility-related vendors.
- Ensure proper safety procedures are followed.
- Manage keying and coding of locks.
- Implement standard operating procedures and preventive maintenance programs.
- Hire, train, and develop Facilities team members.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED, trade school diploma, or military training.
- 5 years of relevant experience managing building systems in multi-unit residential properties.
- 2 years of supervisory experience.
- 2 years' experience with building automation systems and life safety systems.
- EPA 608 Universal certification.
- HVAC/EPA 608 Universal certification.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO), or intent to obtain within six months.
- Expertise in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as design drawings, blueprints, safety guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Basic computer working knowledge, including Microsoft Office and CMMS.
- Valid driver's license.
- Standing for 8 hours or longer per day and lifting up to 100 lbs. as necessary.

The base salary range for this full-time position is base + bonus + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. The pay range for New York is $60,000—$63,000 USD.
