About the role
The Engineering Manager at Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh oversees all aspects of the building's equipment, including preventative maintenance and repairs, while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws. They also manage the hotel's preventative maintenance program, conduct room inspections, and ensure guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all aspects of the building's equipment, including preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain and monitor the security and life safety systems.
- Develop and implement plans to maintain the property, equipment, and grounds in good working order.
- Ensure the hotel follows all local, state, and federal laws.
- Lead maintenance of the building, rooms, fixtures, all property equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems.
- Assist in developing and implementing plans to maintain property, equipment, grounds in good working order.
- Monitor the hotel's preventative maintenance program and assist in optimally planning, scheduling, and evaluating preventative maintenance programs.
- Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
- Ensure all employees have the proper supplies and equipment.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction in line with Kimpton's standards.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2+ years related experience as an Engineering Supervisor at a full-service hotel.
- Prior experience with building maintenance systems and processes required, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
- Previous experience in Security, Life Safety, or Loss Prevention preferred.
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to supervise and lead oneself.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years related experience as an Engineering Supervisor at a full-service hotel.
Skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in building maintenance systems and processes.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws related to building maintenance and operations.

Pay
$50,000 - $60,000 annually.
