Element provides an essential supply of recycled products to America's battery manufacturers to produce high quality, top performing batteries to power cars, trucks and forklifts, which are vital to keeping our country's supply chain running.
Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, organization, control, and coordination of all maintenance, repair, and service activities for the plant manufacturing equipment, buildings, and facilities.
- Ensure optimal production effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures relating to health, safety, and personnel practices.
- Provide technical support to production and maintenance personnel in manufacturing plant areas.
- Ensure that equipment is performing effectively and efficiently.
- Provide leadership and technical resources toward implementation of Lean Manufacturing.
- Interface with outside service providers and contractors to secure bids for goods and services.
- Track and control the department RME budget.
- Manage systems and foster an environment of continuous improvement to maximize operational availability.
- Engage department to follow health and safety practices as they apply to department and the facility to drive a strong safety culture continuously reducing injury rates.
- Participate in training and development programs including environmental, health and safety, and handling hazardous materials.
- Additional responsibilities as needed to support the team and company goals.
Requirements
- Post high school education such as technical school combined with 8 years of industrial maintenance experience or Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field and three years of related experience preferred.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, including knowledge of PLCs, HVAC systems, and electrical and mechanical equipment.
Skills
- Excellent computer skills to include Excel, Word, Outlook, MEP.
- Proven technical aptitude for electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Understanding of Industrial maintenance systems.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and create a sense of urgency for completion of tasks.
- Independent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MEP.
- Proficiency with budgeting, Continuous improvement / Lean management, Performance Management.
- Strong attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Environmental Regulations as they pertain to this facility.
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements as they pertain to this facility.
- Able to work all shifts.
- Able to follow all environmental, health and safety procedures.
