Maintenance Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Supervision and management
• Tenant relations
• Preventive maintenance and repairs
• Coinciding major repairs and, or, projects
• Record keeping

Preferred Knowledge, Skill and Abilities

• Team leadership, supervision, management
• Construction and, or, other related trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC)
• Customer service
• Good written and verbal communication
• General computer literacy

Minimum Requirements

• Education: High school graduate
• Experience, Training, or Skills: Seven years of building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, moving services or mechanical maintenance experience.
• Substitute Education for Experience: Formal training in industrial arts, horticulture, building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, mechanical engineering, or a related field will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Substitute Experience for Education: Experience in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.

Working Conditions

• May be required to use hand tools and lift items in excess of 20 pounds.

Probationary Period

• This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
