Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and compliant workplace not only within the department but also by participating in the safety activities of the site
- Ensure hands-on support of trouble-shooting and repair of equipment
- Promote and develop the skills of direct reports
- Lead a staff of technicians to include hiring, performance management, termination, skills development, and other related people management requirements
- Plan and schedule of work for direct reports
- Performance and improvement of existing maintenance programs including: preventive maintenance activities, vibration analysis program, lubrication analysis program, ultrasonic program, KPI generation and improvement over time
- Maintain maintenance software package, Asset Essentials
- Schedule, coordinate, and oversee of contract work
- MRO research, planning and requisition
- Other duties/responsibilities as assigned, or apparent.
Requirements
- Skills And Abilities: Must be capable of multi-tasking and working both as a team and independently. Must be well organized and have a strong attention to detail. Must have the ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate courtesy, tact, and confidentiality when dealing with customers (internal and external). Must be able to lead and supervise a team of employees. Must be willing to travel on an as-needed basis. Attendance is an essential function of the position. Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Education And Experience: Preferred associate or bachelor’s degree in related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master or Journeyman Electrician License preferred. Must have demonstrated strong mechanical skills; experience with plastics extrusion/compounding and processing equipment desired. Must have demonstrated experience leading a team.
- Physical Requirements And Working Conditions: Regularly Position requires travel within Winona and other RTP locations to support the Maintenance department. Communicates via phone, email, in person. Required to sit, perform keyboard work, for prolonged periods of time. Operates a computer and other office equipment such as a copy machine and printer. Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, and controls. Talk and hear to coordinate day-to-day phone and in person transactions. Frequently Exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, chemical dust, risk of electric shock, moving mechanical parts, and non-hazardous chemical agents. Occasionally Lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and handle, with mechanical assistance, up to 250 pounds. Exposure to noise levels above the OSHA action level may be possible. Specific vision abilities may require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. This position requires the use of safety equipment as dictated by plant safety procedures. Standard manufacturing and office environment. The noise level is usually low to moderate, due to office equipment and manufacturing machines and equipment.
