Starting Rate

Up to $31.00 an hour (based on experience)

Shift Details

  • 8-hour shift
  • Additional Incentives: $100 Safety Shoe Reimbursement, $150 Safety Glasses Reimbursement
  • Company will provide all tools necessary
  • 2+ Weeks’ Vacation (years of experience in trade considered)
  • Cross-training provided

Work Hours

Location: 3094 Lester Dr. Kendallville, IN

Responsibilities

  • Assist with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment, including:
    • Motors, gearboxes, bearings, mechanical drives, VFD’s, electrical components, and basic controls
  • Learn and assist with facility systems, including:
    • Chiller, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and general building maintenance
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime
  • Respond swiftly to maintenance requests from team members and management
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities
  • Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance processes and equipment performance
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Maintain clean, organized and safe maintenance area

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to Lift and carry up to 50 pound
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, stoop, bend, and twist throughout an 8 to 12 hours shift

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in mechanics is a plus
  • Some experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Reliable, punctual and safety-focused
  • Positive attitude and strong cultural fit with a team-oriented environment
