About the Role
This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is based in Charlestown, Indiana.
Responsibilities
- Identify safety concerns and repair unsafe conditions.
- Perform electrical work safely and legally.
- Maintain assembly machines and equipment per established PM schedules; suggest improvements to PM schedules (frequency and content) as applicable.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and maintain process uptime through troubleshooting and repairs.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement through appropriate channels.
- Document issues and repairs using the appropriate systems and forms.
- Support production equipment start-up and change-over as required.
- Assist in new equipment commissioning and start-ups.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of pneumatic circuits and systems; PLC-based equipment and some PLC program knowledge.
- Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic, electric, and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to use machining tools and equipment.
- Ability to read, understand, and update electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings for assembly machines and equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools, machining, and welding.
- Understanding of injection machines including auxiliary equipment.
- Dedicated, organized, and efficient work ethic.
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
