About the Role

This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is based in Charlestown, Indiana.

Responsibilities

  • Identify safety concerns and repair unsafe conditions.
  • Perform electrical work safely and legally.
  • Maintain assembly machines and equipment per established PM schedules; suggest improvements to PM schedules (frequency and content) as applicable.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and maintain process uptime through troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement through appropriate channels.
  • Document issues and repairs using the appropriate systems and forms.
  • Support production equipment start-up and change-over as required.
  • Assist in new equipment commissioning and start-ups.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of pneumatic circuits and systems; PLC-based equipment and some PLC program knowledge.
  • Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic, electric, and mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to use machining tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read, understand, and update electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings for assembly machines and equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools, machining, and welding.
  • Understanding of injection machines including auxiliary equipment.
  • Dedicated, organized, and efficient work ethic.
  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
