Maintenance Lead Home2 Suites Coralville Iowa

Job Purpose

Assist the maintenance manager in all of the day-to-day duties and responsibilities, supervising the implementation of all property and equipment preventive maintenance and repairs, monitor life safety systems and utilities and assist in the administration of the department in compliance with all corporate/franchise standards and local, state and national codes and regulations to protect assets, guests and employees.

Supervision

• Supervise the day-to-day operations.
• Recommend and implement procedural changes.
• Maintain the department in compliance with corporate/franchise standards and local, state and national codes and regulations.
• Monitor and control expenses.
• Test and examine the life safety systems to ensure they are 100% operational at all times.
• Monitor utility consumption to determine the effectiveness of current systems.
• Review purchase requests and monitor expenses to ensure budgeted goals are met/exceeded.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School diploma / Secondary qualification or equivalent.
• Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards.
• Advanced knowledge of the Building Management/Engineering profession.
• Investigating and analyzing current activities and/or information in a specialized field involving readily available data and indicating logical conclusions and recommendations.
• Supervisory skills.
