Responsibilities
- Oversee shift maintenance operations, ensuring timely task completion and effective shift coordination.
- Support the Maintenance Supervisor in training, policy implementation, and departmental direction.
- Partner with Production and Warehouse teams to minimize downtime.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of maintenance technicians in setup, installation, repair, and maintenance of all processing equipment.
- Coordinate with other Maintenance Team Leaders for an orderly shift transition.
- Support the Maintenance Supervisor in career path development for maintenance technicians.
- Supervise on-the-job training of maintenance technicians.
- Maintain timely and efficient use of mechanics' skills and time.
- Perform daily tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisors.
- Minimize downtime due to equipment failures and communicate excessive downtime promptly.
- Ensure scheduled equipment checks are completed on designated equipment.
- Support the Maintenance Planner in minimizing backlog on work orders and schedules preventative maintenance.
- Contribute to plant continuous improvement processes.
- Work with production teams as part of the LEAN program.
- Evaluate department preventive maintenance tasks.
- Able to work overtime, including Saturdays and Sundays, as required by manufacturing needs.
- Use basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Utilize all CMMS software capabilities to oversee assigning, tracking, and completing daily tasks.
- Ensure all department associates perform job duties in compliance with all corporate and regulatory quality, GMP, and safety regulations.
- Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the Safe Quality Food (SQF) 2000 Systems.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- Team player.
- Adherence to scheduled work hours.
- Compliance with GMP regulations and safety guidelines.
- Accountable to Turkey Hill Food Safety and Quality Principles.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and push/pull 50 pounds.
Qualifications
- Physical Demands: Stand and walk for 8+ hours, ascend/descend stairs, inspect equipment, use hands/fingers, operate various types of office and floor equipment, lift 50 pounds, push/pull 50 pounds.
