Maintenance Lead - 3rd shift

About the role

The Maintenance Lead shall act as support staff to the maintenance supervisor concerning the execution of all maintenance and assigned tasks within their assigned area of responsibility, including oversight of the team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks, ensuring timely completion of repairs and maintenance activities on facilities and equipment, while prioritizing safety and adhering to company standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of the team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely completion of repairs and maintenance activities
• Prioritizing safety and adhering to company standards
• Evaluating system needs, managing work orders, and providing technical guidance to team members
• Supervising employees throughout the department in the absence of the production supervisor
• Complying with and enforcing all applicable good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance practices
• Assisting with interviewing and hiring of employees
• Assisting with planning and preparation of training and orientation for new maintenance team members
• Providing technical expertise to the team, troubleshooting complex issues, and assisting with repairs when necessary
• Supporting supervision in the planning, assigning, and directing of work
• Contributing to the rewarding and discipline of employees, as well as addressing complaints and resolving problems
• Monitoring team performance, providing feedback, identifying training needs, and addressing performance concerns
• Collaborating with department supervisors, leads, and operators to ensure safe, efficient, and effective maintenance is performed on equipment
• Maintaining proper documentation in all record keeping formats
• Coordinating with other departments to address maintenance needs, communicating updates on work progress, and escalating issues as needed
• Assisting with general cleaning and housekeeping throughout the plant as needed
• Working with maintenance supervisor to coordinate topics for safety meetings
