Maintenance Journeyman Level I-Electrical/Instrumentation
About the role
Maintain Journeyman Level I - Electrical/Instrumentation at Riverdale Mill, 601 County Road 78, Selma, AL 36703. Hourly, full-time position with flexible shifts.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, configure, maintain: PLC systems, single loop controls, various field systems
- Install, calibrate, troubleshoot various manufacturers of analog and SMART instruments and analytical equipment
- Shop and field repair of final control elements such as pneumatic valves, electric valves, solenoid operated valves, calibration of pneumatic and SMART valve positioners
- Routine and regulatory calibration of field instruments for boilers and environmental systems
- Read and redline loop sheets, P&IDs, read and interpret wiring diagrams & electrical schematics
- Understand and follow NFPA70E regulations involving Arc Flash and Shock hazards
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on 480v thru 13.8kv power distribution switchgear
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum high school graduate, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Eligible for employment in the US
- At least three (3) years of work experience in INSTRUMENTATION systems OR three (3) years of work experience in ELECTRICAL systems
- Willingness to meet the following requirements: work in industrial conditions, undergo technical online testing, interview, and a formal hands-on assessment of skills, undergo a drug screen, undergo a job-related health assessment, submit to periodic drug screens, work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule, work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification, work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis, wear required safety equipment
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Associates degree or certification(s) in Industrial Maintenance or other related disciplines within instrumentation/electrical
- Relevant work experience in an industrial environment
