Maintenance Journeyman Electrician

About the role
This position is in Carlsbad, NM, working in the Permian Basin oil fields installing VFDs and other 120/240v and 480v electrical equipment. As a Journeyman Electrician with DSI, you will configure and wire various brands of AC/DC controllers and VFDs. Using electrical schematics, you will design, bend, and fill conduit to proper code specifications. Work is primarily outdoors.
Responsibilities
- Install VFDs and other 120/240v and 480v electrical equipment in oil-field operations
- Configure and wire AC/DC controllers and VFDs
- Design, bend, and fill conduit to code specifications using electrical schematics
Requirements
- Maintain a valid driver’s license
- Texas apprentice license
- 3 years of experience in oil and gas
- Team-oriented with a strong commitment to safety and quality
Schedule
5 days on, 2 days off, with on-call rotation every 3rd week.
