Maintenance I - (2nd Shift)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as lubricating machinery, replacing worn parts, and conducting routine inspections.
  • Troubleshoot and repair of production equipment using the guidance of experienced technicians.
  • Install or relocate production equipment and related facilities.
  • Develop knowledge of equipment and maintenance procedures.
  • Develop knowledge of common mechanical systems such as fluid control, hydraulics, pneumatics, gas, vacuum, heating, cooling, welding, and conveyance.
  • Work under close supervision while developing foundational skills.

Essential Qualifications

  • Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 0-10 years of experience in maintenance, including mechanic apprenticeship time.
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices.
    • Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools to maintain and repair equipment.
    • Ability to follow blueprints.
    • Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
    • Ability to use a computer with basic proficiency (data entry).
    • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and maintenance methods.

Work Environment

  • The position is based in a manufacturing facility, which may involve exposure to loud noises, varying temperatures, and dust from production processes.
  • Associates will frequently work near or with machinery with moving parts, following strict safety protocols.
  • The facility operates on shift schedules with potential for overtime, including weekends, based on production needs.
  • This environment emphasizes team collaboration and adherence to safety regulations to ensure the well-being of all associates.
