Maintenance Generalist - Shift D - RVI Hanceville Plant B

About the role

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs
• Perform preventing maintenance
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment
• Minimize downtime due to equipment failure
• Support production in addressing equipment problems during shift
• Handle all mechanical problems that may arise
• Ensure work area is clean at all times
• Record keeping and attention to detail
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 20 pounds repeatedly during shift
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 75 pounds occasionally
• Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day
• Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, and gripping
• Frequent overhead work
• Basic math skills: percentages, fractions, and measurements
• Position will require Lock Out Tag Out certification

Requirements

• Must have 1 year of industrial maintenance experience
• Minimum waiting period of 180 days since last employment with Tyson Foods for rehire eligibility
• Will not consider team members who have worked 3 or more times at Tyson Foods

Pay

Base pay: $25.85 per hour

Schedule

D Shift, Sunday through Wednesday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
