Maintenance Generalist Lead (D Shift) (MG01L - MG08L) - Dardanelle Plant

About the role

This position assists the Supervisor in coordinating the daily responsibilities of the department, ensuring instructions are communicated and executed promptly and accurately. It involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment while maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members in on-time setup/startup of production lines & support systems
• Guide team members in monitoring & required adjustments of process equipment to meet or exceed Tyson standards/maintenance goals
• Respond to production calls for maintenance, assessing needs, assigning techs/resolving issues to minimize downtime
• Assist supervision in monitoring technician workmanship, performance, quality of repair methods, coaching, guiding, and training in best practices
• Perform assigned lead SAP PM work orders and scheduled activity during shift
• Assist Supervisor in daily prioritizing/expediting/completing SAP PM work orders assigned to team
• Guide & lead team in initiating inspections, creating notifications/work orders, and following up on required repairs
• Record all team's significant maintenance activity in the maintenance daily log, communicating follow-up requirements with supervision/leads of oncoming shift
• Work with supervision in creating a cooperative atmosphere, balancing workload among team members
• Lead safety meetings and ensure team works safely according to Tyson policies

Requirements

• Minimum 3 months seniority
• No more than 5 attendance points
• No written warnings/suspensions in last 3 months
• Basic computer skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, rotating 4 on, 4 off
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• High-level mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic skills
• Proven ability to perform maintenance & repairs on process equipment
• Initiative/high performance in completing maintenance activities
• Leadership skills in leading, coaching, guiding, and teaching other team members
• Own small tools

Qualifications

• 6 months maintenance/mechanical experience in manufacturing environment
