Maintenance Generalist (All shifts) Madison

All shifts (A, B, C) – must be available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.

About the role

Positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production in a pork-processing facility. Duties include repairing and maintaining industrial equipment, troubleshooting daily operational problems, and working with hydraulics, electrical systems, plumbing, conveyors, 3-phase wiring, AC/DC control wiring, welding, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and break down production-line machinery
• Complete required daily documentation
• Occasional lifting up to 61 lbs
• Communicate effectively with team members and management to resolve mechanical failures
• Read manuals to safely repair equipment
• Climb ladders and work from elevated platforms
• Stand/walk for 12-hour shifts on hard floors
• Work in all facility environments (Harvest, Cut Converting, Rendering, Load-out freezer) with temperatures ranging from -30°F to +90°F

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months industrial maintenance experience
• For skilled positions (Instruments, Projects, Chillers/Engine Room/Refrigeration, PSM Coordinator), mechanical knowledge/background is preferred
• Proof of authorization to work legally in the U.S.
• Pass a urinalysis screening as part of a post-offer health assessment
• For certain skilled positions, pass a HAZMAT and/or Pulmonary Function Test (PFT)
