Maintenance Excellence Supervisor

HF Sinclair's Puget Sound Refinery is seeking a Maintenance Excellence Supervisor to report to the Maintenance Manager. This role leads and develops teams supporting the execution of maintenance work, serving as the Maintenance Execution Site Process Focal Point (SPFP). The position is accountable for continuous improvement of processes to optimize execution efficiency, support stakeholders, deliver to customers, and control costs while promoting a collaborative culture.

Responsibilities

• Creates a collaborative team environment fostering ownership and technical growth through mentoring, performance feedback, and development opportunities.
• Leads a team of skilled maintenance professionals, providing a collaborative work experience.
• Coaches on work process requirements, skills, and behaviors required for execution.
• Promotes continuous improvement and visual management to enhance work process execution.
• Analyzes work process key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify improvement areas, formulating and deploying collaborative solutions.
• Identifies and escalates site integration issues between work processes that cannot be resolved.
• Collaborates with peers from other sites to identify and share best practices.
• Manages the CMMS tool (SAP Maintenance), identifying and deploying enhancements, and introducing new technology to support efficient execution.
• Prepares, analyzes, and provides reports of maintenance spend in support of cost control.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of industrial maintenance/craft experience or equivalent engineering experience, with five years of supervisory experience.
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a science or engineering-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Strong work process ownership and discipline.

• Prior experience with a CMMS tool (SAP preferred).
• Knowledge of refinery operations and maintenance.

Supervisory Responsibility

Responsible for the direct supervision of up to 15 employees and/or contract staff depending on location.

Work Conditions

• Refinery-based role with up to 5% travel by land and air.
• Works in a petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment, outdoors, and driver environments, including exposure to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, and confined spaces.

Physical Requirements

• Making visual inspections and precise hand/finger movements.
