Key Responsibilities
- Ensure machines operate at peak efficiency through proper setup, adjustment, preventive maintenance, and minor mechanical repairs.
- Set up, operate, and maintain mail inserter equipment according to production schedules and specifications.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure materials are available for assigned jobs.
- Inspect output for quality and make necessary adjustments.
- Verify materials against production orders and samples.
- Perform routine cleaning, inspection, and maintenance of equipment.
- Train machine operators on basic operations and troubleshooting minor issues.
Physical Demands
- Regularly stand
- Frequent walking
- Use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Operate a forklift, pallet jack, clamp truck, scissor lift, hand truck, power saw, and drills
- Need a working knowledge of other tools
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 4–6 years of experience in the print, direct mail, inserting, or fulfillment industry.
- Minimum 4 years of experience troubleshooting electronic and mechanical issues on automated manufacturing equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., using maintenance logs, email, or equipment software).
