Maintenance Equipment Specialist

About the role

Assist in development of work procedures, PM’s and LOTO. Participate in plant 5S and Lean manufacturing programs as well as any and all continuous improvement activities. Practice “Root Cause Analysis” to determine solutions to problematic process issues. Be an active safety advocate. Follow all company rules and policies.

Responsibilities

• Avoid hazards and ensure safe working conditions.
• Coordinate effective repairs and maintenance on equipment utilizing SAP.
• Develop and implement Preventive Maintenance program for area of responsibility.
• Assign daily maintenance activities.
• Provide hands on assistance as needed for maintenance personnel, contractors, and Mechanical Specialists.
• Provide necessary training and support to maintenance personnel.
• Plan and coordinate weekly and yearly outages.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification required.
• At least 1 to 3 years of experience in general maintenance.
• Seamless Pipe Mill experience greatly desired.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems experience.
• Strong Safety Awareness and experience.
• LOTO experience.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of HRM equipment.
• Strong hydraulic background (Servo valves and High-pressure systems).

Qualifications

• Technical degree preferred but not required.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge.
• Experience with hydraulic systems.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis.
• Good safety awareness.
