Maintenance Engineer- Woodspring Maumee, Ohio

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Schedule daily work tasks.
• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure the hotel’s facilities and equipment are in optimal working condition.
• Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to identify areas needing repair or maintenance.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests, addressing issues such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance problems in a timely manner.
• Upkeep and check chemical levels of swimming pool and spa.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies, conducting safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
• Aid in developing and managing the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective practices.
• Monitor expenses related to maintenance operations and control costs.
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Order necessary materials and tools, maintaining relationships with vendors.
• Stay updated on training of best practices, safety procedures, and hotel policies.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance requests, repairs, and inventory.
• Prepare reports on maintenance activities, budget expenditures, and staff performance for management.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping and front desk, to ensure seamless operations.
• Participate in departmental meetings to discuss facility needs and improvement opportunities.
• Act as a key contact for emergency situations, coordinating quick and effective responses to facility-related emergencies.
• Ensure that emergency protocols are established and staff is trained accordingly.
