Maintenance Engineer III

About the role

The Maintenance Engineer III is an entry-level opportunity on our Facility Operations team. This role ensures that MultiCare patients and families have the best possible experience when visiting facilities across our health system.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate routine malfunctioning conditions and initiate and perform repairs
• Install mechanical and electrical equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operational manuals, and manufacturers specifications
• Perform routine preventive maintenance
• Collaborate with supervisor in obtaining bids and inspections on externally run projects
• Partner with a service-oriented attitude and professional integrity

Requirements

• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED); or three to six (3-6) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must possess a City of Tacoma Chief Operating Engineer License
• Minimum four (4) years experience working in at least one of the major building trades: Electrical, HVAC, plumbing, commercial carpentry
• Current Washington State Drivers License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state

Pay and Benefits Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, and retirement benefits, and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $34.48 - $46.40 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
