Maintenance Engineer - Class 2 | General Maintenance
Responsibilities
- Take water samples of boiler, loop, and cooling tower systems and treat the water to maintain predetermined levels of chemical concentration.
- Operate various equipment, maintaining temperatures throughout the building.
- Make repairs to guest room and public spaces as necessary, including kitchen, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing repairs.
- Perform cleaning and general maintenance duties in the engineering spaces.
- Respond and attend to guest room repair requests.
- Repair plumbing problems such as unclogging drains, plunging/repairing toilets, leaking spigots, faucets, pipe valves, and related equipment.
- Maintain preventive maintenance with tools on laundry and kitchen equipment, including cleaning and lubrication, filter changes, belt adjustment, etc.
- Order necessary tools and equipment; maintain necessary stock items.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Must possess painting, basic plumbing, basic electrical, minor carpentry, lighting, and computer skills.
- Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
- Must have prior building maintenance experience and/or relevant technical training.
- Must be knowledgeable about using hand tools, power tools, and trade tools.
- Must have a working knowledge of general maintenance and repairs in at least one building trade.
- Must be familiar with OSHA Safety regulations.
- The ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
- The ability to crawl for short periods of time.
- The ability to bend, reach overhead, squat, kneel for extended periods of time.
- The ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $20 - $25 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The shift is a PM Shift, which operates from approximately 4:00 PM to 4:00 AM.
