Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Supervises general building maintenance and janitorial functions in a manner consistent with all applicable safety procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily work of maintenance technicians.
• Tours the site daily, reports and resolves any problems that may put the infrastructure at risk.
• Directs maintenance staff to resolve outstanding issues in a timely manner.
• Assists contracted vendors with preventative maintenance program, troubleshooting, and modification.
• Operates diagnostic equipment as directed and complies with manufacturers’ recommendations.
• Determines status of diagnosed equipment and advises on corrective actions.
• Maintains records of maintenance checks and repairs.
• Assists in reviewing and reporting of incidents.
• Works with facilities staff in providing support.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree plus Professional Certification (e.g., CFM) preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of facilities maintenance supervisory/management experience, preferably in commercial real estate.
• Ability to work well with a variety of individuals both inside and outside the organization.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Requires minimal supervision while adhering to policies, procedures, and owner objectives.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and make decisions.
