Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Engineer at Hyatt Place Park City assists with the operation, maintenance, service, and repair of assigned equipment. They participate in the preventative maintenance program, handle guest requests and work orders, and perform trade jobs such as carpentry, painting, and plumbing. The role may also require driving a shuttle van when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms, including vinyl repair, touch-up paint, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, and tile repairs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC, meeting rooms, the swimming pool, and hot tub.
• Perform plumbing repairs, laundry equipment repairs, and preventative maintenance on exhaust fans and supply systems; monitor energy conservation.
• Repair vacuum cleaners and other small equipment upon request.
• Immediately follow up on alarms to determine location and cause, assess emergency status, and report findings to the Front Desk.
• Perform other tasks or jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) preferred.
• Valid driver’s license for the applicable state.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record (MVR).
